49 – Machines Building Machines

The older I get, the more I prefer machines over free weights.  In general the weight is easier to control and my joints are just happier (especially my pissy shoulders).

That’s the inspiration behind this program.  We aren’t TOTALLY ditching free weights, but we are biasing things towards machines just a bit more.  Volume here is pretty moderate, pushing some extra sets on most workouts rather than acting like a squirrel with ADD trying to hit 14 exercises in a day.

Workouts include:

  • Chest (but doesn’t have to be on Monday)
  • Post Chain Breaker
  • Arms
  • Four Sets to Shoulder Death (deceptive name, sorry)
  • Quads w/Some PC
  • Build That Back
  • And & Calves
