Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an additional setup fee to get started?

No, the first month is the same cost as subsequent months and there are no additional setup fees added.

Is everything in the program customized to fit my needs?

Absoulutely – every body is different and every plan needs to be different, whether in large ways or small ones.  Our initial conversations and your comprehensive assessment will determine what the program looks like in the beginning, and it only evolves and becomes more personalized over time.

Do you have fixed-length plans for a 12 or 16 week prep?

No, everything I do is on a month-to-month basis.  I’ve worked with loads of clients over the years who came to me from other coaches where they were ‘paid in full’ and the coach stopped fulfilling their obligations or responses became slower and less detailed.  A month-to-month arrangement sets the expectation that I’m going to continue doing my best to keep earning your business.

For nutrition do you program meal plans or macros?

Both/either.  My focus is on what’s going to work best for each person, and numerous factors play into that.  For meal plans, total and per meal macros are also included for reference.

How do check-ins work?

Check-ins are scheduled for a specific day of the week – on that day you’ll send in all materials (photos, data tracking sheet, website form submission) and I’ll respond by the following day at the latest with any changes and detailed feedback.  I’m also avaiable 7 days/wk via email/text for anything else that comes up.

Can you help me find/select a show?

100% yes – the best coach/client relationship starts when there’s flexbility to adjust the schedule based on long-term needs which are built around a clear vision of the ultimate goal each person has.  To make this happen, as a coach I prefer to be deeply involved in the process of finding and selecting shows.

Do you offer PED/steroid cycle help?

Upon request, yes – for both men and women.  This is not something I push as it’s a choice every person has to make for themselves while being fully informed of the risks.  There are right and wrong ways to go about doing this and the most common approaches are full of terrible ideas.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, although as a professional courtesy I appreciate a 1 month notice (not required).

I have an event in 4 weeks - can you help?

I’m not that kind of coach.  You can make progress in 4 weeks, but that’s the start of your journey and not the end of it.  I’m looking to work with people who are interested in making a concerted effort to achieve their ideal body/physique.  That doesn’t happen in 4 weeks.

Are you available 24/7?

No.  I’m one dude, I need sleep and so do you.  You can contact me ANY TIME but I respond during my working hours which are typically 5am to 6pm Eastern time (including weekends)

Do you use an app to communicate with clients?

No.  I’ve used every app (from Trainerize to Kahunas and everything in between) and none of them do what I need in the way that I like.  I use my own tools which are a combination of spreadsheets (very simple, don’t worry) and PDF’s.  I rely on email, text, voice notes and WhatsApp for communication.

Can you accommodate specific injuries or medical conditions?

In 15 years of coaching I’ve never come across a situation we couldn’t work around with some intelligence.  From type 1/2 Diabetes, spinal fusions, joint replacements, various auto-immune and blood disorders, missing kidneys, you name it.  We change some things, make adjustments, and keep working.

I'm really new to the whole world of competitive - can you help?

This is absolutely what I do.  My process includes making zero assumptions, so everything from the absolute basics of what to wear and where to go down to the more complicated things such as how to handle show day and travel accommodations are all things we cover.
